My Day at One Spark

7:38 PM

On April 12, 2015 I ventured out to downtown Jacksonville where One Spark was taking place. One Spark is a crowd-funded festival created to help creators of all sorts get their work out there. This year was my first time attending but it definitely won't be my last, there is something about being around thousands of people with passion and positivity that is just so exhilarating to me. I was surrounded by genuine smiles and love all around and it was a memory I'll keep with me forever.

Such a fun and cool stage set up, wish I would've seen the performances

Loved this so much

I spotted this gnarly ride and wanted to get a few shots of it but sadly 2 cars hit each other right as it was passing by me so I decided to head the opposite direction.

Here are the famous giant cat and shark. I'm not sure who the artists for the two are but the two pieces definitely were major attractions. Everyone who attended probably has a picture with at least one of the two.

This guy was one of the first street performers I saw. I'm not sure who he is but something about him wearing a mask while performing stood out to me. To me it says don't focus on the physicalities of the performer but more so the performance itself. For all I know I could be wrong and he could've been wearing it just as a look but that's what I got out of it.

They were covering This Land is Your Land and listening to them kind of made me feel nostalgic for some reason.

These guys were killing it - going at it non-stop, they were dancing to the live jazz music playing right beside them and they definitely had the crowds attention.
